With the end of August closing in fast, every Apple enthusiast out there is eager to find out when, oh when the next-gen iPhone(s) will go on sale. Earlier yesterday, an older rumor has resurfaced, suggesting that Apple will unveil both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 on September 9, alongside the fabled iWatch. Admittedly this sounds pretty awesome, perhaps too good to be true, and sure enough, a new rumor emerged today that seems to put a dent in the idea that Apple will unveil all three gadgets on the same date. Interested in the details? Then keep on scrolling and join us below after a quick break.
Only the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 8GB iPhone 5S to be Unveiled on September 9?
According to a new rumor that’s doing the rounds on the Chinese tech sites (and which allegedly originates from “informed sources”), Apple will indeed hold a conference on the 9th day of September, but not all of its highly anticipated products will be present on-stage. Instead, only the 4.7-inch version of the iPhone 6 will be unveiled, alongside the long rumored 8GB iPhone 5S model.
The 5.5-inch iPhone 6 will probably arrive later in the year, and while this new rumor doesn’t mention any new details regarding the iWatch, all evidence thus far indicates that Apple’s first wearable is simply not ready for the market. As a matter of fact, a recent report from Apple’s supply chain sources suggested that the iWatch hasn’t hit the conveyor belts just yet, and that the Cupertino-based giant might be forced to push the launch of the device in 2015, or best case scenario, until sometime in December 2014.
So to wrap things up, we might get to finally lay our eyes on the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 as early as September 9, but the larger model and the iWatch could face a later release. Evidently not much can be confirmed right now, so you’re free to stick with whatever rumor sounds more plausible to you. Any thoughts regarding the matter?
