Jimmy Does It Again! 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Caught On Camera, Looking Huge

by Mihai Matei on June 18, 2014

Exactly one week ago, the Taiwanese actor / racing driver Jimmy Lin managed to turn a lot of heads when he posted a handful of pictures with what seemed to be a legit 4.7-inch iPhone 6. We’re guessing that you already know the story, as well as the fact that despite some skeptic whispering, the gadget showcased by Jimmy has been “confirmed” to be a beta unit meant for testing.

Today, one week after the aforementioned events took place, Jimmy Lin did it again and shared a picture on his Weibo account that will definitely make the rounds. The picture in question shows Jimmy working on a broken iPhone, but the “wow” factor is brought by a guest appearance of what appears to be the 5.5-inch iPhone 6!

Jimmy Lin Showcases the 5.5-inch iPhone 6?

The image above has been shared by Jimmy Lin earlier today, alongside a description saying that he’s working on fixing a friend’s iPhone that got ran over by a car. The big deal about this picture however, is the shiny device that rests on the star’s workbench.

By the looks of it, this could very well be the 5.5-inch iPhone 6. It’s too large for it to be the 4.7 inch model or the iPhone 5S, and the physical buttons are also different. Let’s take a closer look at the cropped / zoomed version!

While this may be just a dummy unit, Jimmy Lin has a history of teasing upcoming iPhones, and last week’s appearance of the 4.7-inch model wasn’t a first. Last year, the same actor / race car driver has also shared a picture of him holding an iPhone 5C, so there’s a lot of weight to this brand new image he shared today.

Our guesses are that what we’re looking at is yet another beta unit sent for testing purposes, but evidently, there’s no way to be sure of this.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Do you think this is the real 5.5-inch iPhone 6? Feel free to share your thoughts below.
