Before the Apple Watch was released, and shortly after the gadget’s price was officially confirmed, smartwatch enthusiasts have wondered whether the sequel will arrive one year after the release of the original model, or if Apple will take more time before launching the Watch 2.
Today the answer to this question is relatively clear: the Watch 2 will most likely arrive earlier rather than later, and if the rumors are correct then the sequel could, in fact, hit the shelves sometime in April.
More to the point at hand, today we came across a report from China, revealing that Quanta might push the Watch 2 into trial production by the end of this month. Details after the break.

Apple Watch 2 Entering Trial Production This Month?
For the past few months, more and more clues hinting at the Watch 2 emerged, and by the sound of it, the gadget should offer a dedicated Wi-Fi chip, as well as a Facetime camera along other upgrades / updates in the health and medical department.
Fresh reports have it that the Watch 2 will be manufactured by Quanta – the same company responsible for producing the original model. More importantly, new rumors have it that Quanta could push the Watch 2 into trial production sometime by the end of this month. If everything goes without a hitch, this should give Quanta and Apple enough time to prepare the gadget for its debut. Back in November, Quanta’s chairman was quoted as saying that Apple’s next smartwatch has an “end of Q2 2016” release timeframe.
Reportedly, Apple could also rely on other partners (including Foxconn, Inventec, and Wistron) in order to increase production capacity if needed.
With the Watch 2 hopefully hitting Quanta’s conveyor belts in the coming weeks, we may be lucky enough to find out more about the product through unofficial channels. Until more details emerge, feel free to join us in the comment section. Any particular expectations from the Watch 2? Let us know.
