Asus MeMo Pad 7 and 10.1: U.K. Release Dates and Price Tags
Asus has been quite generous at this year’s Mobile World Congress where it unveiled two new devices, the Fonepad (a tablet with phone-capabilites) and the Padfone Infinity – a hybrid that follows in the footsteps of the Padfone 2, and announced the release date and price of two new budget-friendly tablets, the Asus MeMo Pad ME172V (or the MeMo Pad 7) and the MeMo Pad ME301T (or the MeMo Pad Smart 10).
Were you looking forward to purchasing one of these two tablets? Then we have great news for you, as the Midnight Blue flavored 10.1-incher is already available for pre-order at several retailers (including Amazon and PC World) and should hit the shelves beginning March 7th at the very attractive price tag of £249, while the Titanium Gray version of the 7-inch tablet should be released sometime in mid-April.
Asus MeMo Pad Tablets – Price Tag and Specs
We’ve already discussed about what makes the Asus MeMo Pad Smart 10 tick, so this time around we’re going to focus our attention on its 7-inch sibling that – no surprise here – comes with a 7-inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, 170 ppi pixel density and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Underneath, the Asus MeMo Pad 7 is powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor with 1 GB of RAM, 8/16 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for up to 32 additional GB, a 4270 mAh battery as well as primary camera of 1MP.
We know the specs of the MeMo Pad 7 are not really impressive, but the tablet’s biggest selling point is the extremely low price tag of just £129 (VAT included), so if you really want to buy a tablet but are not willing to pay too much on one, the MeMo Pad 7 might be a good choice to consider.
Are you planning on getting your hands on one of these devices?
