Asus Transformer Prime Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich Rolling Out

by bogdan on January 11, 2012

The Asus Transformer Prime Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich is one of the most anticipated upgrades yet (the first tablet running ICS – you’ve got to be excited about that) and for good reason, because Ice Cream Sandwich not only brings new features (like face unlock, hardware acceleration and improved multitasking) and an improved UI but also superior stability and speed (not that the Asus Transformer Prime lacked in that department, but the more, the better).

And even tough the Asus Transformer Prime Android 4 ICS release date was scheduled for the 12th of January, the manufacturer has surprised its customers and released the update a couple of days earlier (yep, the update it’s rolling out as we speak).

Early reports are confirming that the update process goes smooth and that the improvements brought to the Prime are really noticeable.

The guys at Engadget are reporting that the browsing experience has been improved significantly (much lower page-loading speeds, less stuttering on Flash intensive web-pages). Also ICS’s swipe-to-close is reported to greatly improve the user-experience, as expected.

Thanks Engadget for bringing us the news about the Asus Transformer Prime Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich update.
