Asus Transformer Prime
Even though the world has seen a lot of tablets, it will be shattered by what the Asus Transformer Prime brings to the table. Also called the Asus Transformer 2, since it is the successor of the popular Eee Pad Transformer, the Asus Transformer Prime is the world’s first tablet to feature the Tegra 3 quad-core CPU. Let’s take a closer look at what makes the Transformer Prime tick.
The Asus Transformer Prime specs revolve around a Super IPS+ 10.1-inch LED display that offers a 1280 x 800 resolution and that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. We’ve already talked about the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core CPU. The Asus Transformer Prime will also come with 1 GB of RAM, 32 or 64 GB of internal storage (in addition to the ASUS WebStorage), two cameras (an 8 Mp rear-facing camera with 1080p video-recording capabilities and F2.4 aperture and a 1.3 Mp front-facing camera). The battery is said to last up to 12 hours or 18 hours if you use a mobile dock (check out some pics with the Asus Transformer Prime and its keyboard dock).

Asus Transformer Prime Gets Official
The Asus Transformer 2 Prime will also feature the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, which will be upgradable to the Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Not only is the Asus Transformer Prime a beast, but it’s also light and slim: 586g (1.29 lbs) and 8.3mm thick.
The Asus Transformer Prime will come in two color schemes: Amethyst Gray and Champagne Gold.
Asus Transformer Prime Price Tag
Let’s talk a bit about the Asus Transformer 2 Prime price tag. Depending on how much storage you want, it will set you back $499 for the 32GB and $599 for the 64GB. Of course, these prices could vary depending on where (and what country) you get the Asus Transformer Prime.
The keyboard dock for the Asus Transformer 2 Prime has a $149 price tag.

Asus Transformer Prime Release Date
Ok, so now you’re wondering when the Asus Transformer Prime release date will be ? Well, there’s no official release date for us at the moment of this writing, but Asus is planning to have a launch event in which it plans to show the Asus Transformer Prime running on ICS and this will take place in December. Would it too far fetched to think that the Asus Transformer 2 Prime release date will also happen in December ?
We initially believed that the Asus Transformer Prime will get released sometime this November (but not on November 9th like some leaks were pointing out). Than, according to some leaked info, the Asus Transformer Prime release date has been pushed back to December to give Asus’ and Google’s engineers time to optimize and integrate the Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. But in the light of this recent announcement we suppose that the tablet will indeed be released in December but without Android 4 ICS on board.
What do you guys think about the Asus Transformer Prime ? Will it shatter the tablet world and become a new hit ?
