Oppo has really managed to catch our eye lately, thanks to its teaser campaign surrounding the upcoming Find 7. The handset in question is meant to become the company’s top-tier device, able to compete with the big boys, such as the Samsung Galaxy S5. We simply can’t ignore a potential SGS5 competitor, and we’re quite eager to finally learn what the Find 7 has to offer, inside and out.
Until the smartphone goes official though (on March 19, in Beijing), Oppo will continue to reveal bits and pieces of information regarding the handset’s specifications and features. During these past several weeks, the manufacturer confirmed that there will be two Oppo Find 7 models (with Full HD and QHD screens, respectively), that the gadget features a removable back cover and expandable storage. Now, Oppo has officially confirmed the hardware specs of the Full HD model. Take a look below and join us for more details.
FHD Oppo Find 7 Specs Get Confirmed – Price Rumors Keep On Flowing
At first glance, you might judge the image above as being an untrusting source of information. Anyone can pick up a pen and write some specs on a piece of paper, right? But here’s the kicker: the list above comes straight from Oppo’s official account on the Chinese social-network Weibo. This makes these specs as official as they can get.
In other words, the FHD version of the device will indeed pack a Snapdragon 800 processor, a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 (obviously), a 5 MP front-facing sensor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. It looks like, with the sole exception of the amount of RAM, the AnTuTu benchmarks that have surfaced a while ago have been on point.
You may be wondering about the main camera, especially since the category in question has been made undecipherable. You may be inclined to think that this further fuels some of the previous rumors indicating that the Oppo Find 7 could pack a 50 MP camera. These reports have surfaced shortly after a picture captured with the Find 7 hit the blogosphere, allowing people to “determine” that the image has been snapped with a 50 MP sensor.
However, more recent rumors are claiming that the Find 7 could actually make use of Sony’s second generation stacked 13 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture, which can give the illusion of it being a 50 MP unit, when in truth, it’s not.
Finally, we should also mention that the Chinese blogosphere is currently boiling with speculations regarding the smartphone’s price, and according to these reports, the Find 7 should go on sale for 3000 yuan. This roughly translates into US$ 488.
We’re less than two weeks away from the smartphone’s official launch, so we’re bound to confirm or refute these rumors sooner rather than later. In the meantime, stick around and drop us a line below. Do you have any interest in the Oppo Find 7?
