Do you happen to own a Google Nexus 7 ? Well, if you’re a tablet enthusiast then chances are that you do, and also, chances are that you’re already aware of the fact that this slate is not perfect. The N7 is a great product and comes with a lot of “pros” but the reality is that, as any other device out there, it has its fair share of “cons”.
One of the issues that you’ve probably noticed on your Google Nexus 7 (and on other devices as well) is the low performance in certain games, despite the beefy processor powering your gadget. Well, there’s a reason for that, and apparently there’s a potential fix as well. Join us after the break for details.
Google Nexus 7 Lag Fix
Alright folks, without trying to get too technical, according to the XDA Senior Member lambgx02, the reason why we sometime experience game lag on the Nexus 7 (or other Android devices for that matter) is because of “lack of entropy” or “random data”, which is usually used in UUID generation, SSL and a lot more. Once this “random data” or “entropy” runs out, the process blocks and causes lag.
So, getting back to the “fix” part, lambgx02 has created a Seeder Entropy Generator which will help your Nexus 7 to generate random data and thus, causing less lag to occur. You’ll find more details on how to apply the fix on the OP at XDA Developers, so hit that link and see what’s what.
Keep in mind however that the risk of being exploited will be higher once you apply this “lag fix”, simply because the quality of the generated random data will decrease, making it easier for potential threats to mess up with your device. That’s definitely something to consider.
Thanks XDA for the heads-up regarding this Google Nexus 7 lag fix.
