Last month we reported that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update has gone live, but there were some exceptions. One of these exceptions was Australia, where the Google Nexus S Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update did not make an appearance. However, it seems that all the issues have been fixed and the update has recently gone is live in Australia, at Vodafone.

The Google Nexus S Android 4.1.1 update started rolling out at Vodafone Australia last month, however, there were some issues with the handling of emergency calls. Because of that, the update was halted and now the issues seem to have been fixed as the update has started rolling out yet again. There already have been reports of the update going live with some users.

Google Nexus S Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) Roll-Out Expands - Find Out Who Gets It Now
We covered the status of the Google Nexus S Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update a few days ago and we are happy to see that it is arriving on Nexus devices so quickly (with some exceptions, of course). The one big issue that came up even a few months ago stems from Sprint, who still does not seem ready to release the Nexus S Android 4.1 update.
This seems a repeat of what we saw with Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich, but let’s hope we will not be forced to see such large delays yet again.
If you are the owner of a Google Nexus S at Vodafone Australia, head on over to Settings -> About phone -> Software updates and see if you get your first taste of the Jelly Bean!
Thanks AndroidCentral for letting us know about the Google Nexus S Jelly Bean update going live at Vodafone Australia.
