It’s time to talk about something else besides smartphones, tablets and various versions of the Android OS. Well, to be honest we’ve rarely talked about anything else lately but Google has the power to draw attention towards their products, mainly because they do tend to keep things fresh.
Such is the case with the Google Nexus Q sphere, the unique “home entertainment system” we’ve talked about at great length a few weeks ago. In case you wish to buy a Nexus Q or if you have already pre-ordered this device then you should stick around and join us after the break because Google announced some rather unexpected changes concerning the device and its release date.

Google Nexus Q Release Date Pushed Back - Big G To Make The Q Better
Google Nexus Q Release Date Pushed Back
As you may recall, in mid-July we’ve reported that pre-orders for Google’s sphere have begun, with the expected release date being set sometime by the end of July.
However, those of you who kept an eye on the Nexus Q might’ve already noticed that the device in question is not available for purchase and since we’re already in August, that means something didn’t go according to plan.
To make the long story short, Google has indeed pushed back the Nexus Q release date because after the feedback they’ve received they have come to the conclusion that the Q needs more features and a wider functionality.
Now, this pushback might anger you but there are also upsides to this whole story. First of all, to make up for the delay, Google has decided that everyone who has already pre-ordered the device will now receive the Nexus Q for free. Need I say more?
Second of all, well, let’s be honest, the device itself will be improved upon so we can’t really argue with that. If a release date push-back happens in order for the manufacturer to deliver a better experience we can’t really say “No” to that. Such was the case with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, and such is the case with the Nexus Q.
The new exact release date of the Nexus Q remains unknown unfortunately, but Google did mentioned that the sphere will be on its way soon and that those who have pre-ordered will receive a notification and tracking number from Google Play when the device will ship.
That’s pretty much all there is to it. We’d like to hear from you and learn your opinion on the matter. Have you already pre-ordered the Nexus Q?
Thanks Android Central for the heads-up regarding the Google Nexus Q Release Date push back.
