If you got bored of your old phone and want to own a high-end device without having to empty your wallet, now is the best time to do it. Sprint basically replaced HTC’s One X with the HTC Evo 4G LTE (a customized and slightly improved X), which turned out to be a great installment in the Evo series.
In case you aren’t familiar with the phone or want to find out more about it, a while ago we’ve published a detailed guide of the Sprint Evo 4G LTE so you know exactly what it can do. Now, a couple of months after it was released it still is a great device to own and we found an offer you really can’t refuse !
HTC Evo 4G LTE Deal at Amazon
Amazon is giving away the HTC Evo 4G LTE for free if you sign a two-year contract with Sprint, so get it while it lasts. The deal also includes free shipping, but is limited to the black version of the phone ( not a deal-breaker in my opinion ). As I mentioned before, this is a good period to get a good smartphone without spending all your hard earned cash, because we pointed out not too long ago that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is also available for free when signing the usual two-year contract courtesy of Amazon.
The only real downside would be that Sprint is known for it’s lack of speed when bringing updates to devices, as it was the case of the HTC Evo 3D and the Evo Design. Fortunately, the HTC Evo 4G LTE is already running on Ice Cream Sandwich, and if you don’t want to wait until Sprint decides to roll out Jelly Bean for the device you can always try some custom ROMs for a change.
