The HTC Evo 4G LTE is without shadow of a doubt one of the most exciting handsets to hit the mobile market this year, not only because it’s Sprint’s variant of the highly acclaimed HTC One X, but because the manufacturer improved upon the already impressive handset by adding a few extra key features, as we’ve covered in one of our previous articles (for the full story check out our HTC Evo 4G LTE Overview).

You might remember that recently we talked about some signs indicating that the HTC Evo 4G LTE release date is coming sooner rather than later. Now, once again we’re bringng the latest rumors regarding the HTC Evo 4G LTE and its availability on Sprint. Stick around and see what’s what.
HTC Evo 4G LTE Release Date At Sprint: May 18th ?
Word around the campfire is that Sprint intends on launching the beastly HTC Evo 4G LTE on May 18th, the same day on which the Eco-friendly (and far, far less impressive) LG Optimus Elite is expected to hit the shelves.
As far as pricing goes, we’ve previously mentioned that the HTC Evo 4G LTE will be available for preorder starting with the 7th of May, at the price of $200 (with a 2 year contract with Sprint) so everything starts to shape up pretty well.
On the other hand, I’m quite interested in how the HTC Evo 4G LTE will fare against its competition. Sprint made some amazing efforts this year in order to deliver some of the best handsets currently on the market, and reports indicate that the freshly launched Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been already sold out (the pre-order stock). I’m quite curious whether or not the HTC Evo 4G LTE will follow in the Nexus footsteps and skyrocket the sales figures.
