HTC One Mini: Release Date and Carriers
Not to be blunt, but Samsung has pretty much milked the “Galaxy S” moniker like there’s no tomorrow. Out of the gadgets that actually have the term “Galaxy S4″ in their name tags, the S4 Active is -at least in my opinion- the only smartphone that deserves this title.
The Galaxy S4 Mini is just a mid-range smartphone which still makes a bit of sense thanks to the “Mini” part, while the Galaxy S4 Zoom has nothing in common with its flagship sibling. As far as I’m concerned, it should’ve been called the “S4 Mini Zoom”, or simply the “Galaxy Zoom”.
Anyway, it doesn’t really matter as long as you’re somewhat familiar with these gadgets and realize that the “S4″ part of the name doesn’t really mean that much.
But getting back to the matter at hand, as many of you might already know, it appears that the Taiwanese company has taken a page from Samsung’s book, and decided to work on a budget-friendlier smartphone which will allegedly be called the “HTC One Mini“. Without further ado, here are the latest rumors regarding this gadget’s availability.
HTC One Mini (M4)– US Availability
According to the well-known HTC insider who goes by the name of @LlabTooFeR, the HTC M4 is indeed going to be commercialized under the name of “HTC One Mini”. According to his statements, the Mini will most likely not see the light of day in the States via Verizon, but T-Mobile is a certainty. Furthermore, other sources have recently pointed out that AT&T will also take the Mini under its wing.
As for the handset’s release date, previous rumors have indicated that the device should go on sale in August. Whether or not this time-frame applies to both AT&T and T-Mobile remains to be seen.
