Evidence that the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the HTC Rezound is in the works popped out since January, and lately things have started to look a bit better for Rezound owners all over the US as, according to the latest rumors, the Android 4 update for the device might roll out starting with the 9th of May.

If the waiting for the official launch has become unbearable, the good news is that the guys over at Android Police recently got their hands on the latest official leak (build 3.13.605.7) so if you want to get your hands dirty there’s no better time to do so. This latest leak brings along lots of improvements compared to the previously leaked HTC Rezound Ice Cream Sandwich build, but it also comes with lots of missing features such as the Flash player and with a few bugs including random resets, so this is not the latest build for sure. In case you’re willing to give this build a try make sure you understand the risks and expect it to come with some flaws. Check out the Android Police thread for more details and instructions on how to flash your handset.


As for when the official launch of the Ice Cream Sandwich update is to be expected, nothing new surfaced but we’re eagerly looking at the possibility that May 9 could be the rollout day. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we find out more regarding the matter.
