There is a trend going on with almost every “soon to be released” smartphone: every device has at least two or three names. This may become confusing at times, so I am going to mention now that the HTC Rezound is Verizon’s version of what we used to know as HTC Vigor. There were rumors that suggested it will carry the HTC Droid Incredible HD moniker, but the Verizon Device Management system calls it HTC Rezound so that is the name we’ll be using in this article. So, let’s see when Big Red is planning to launch the phone and who may arrive in the same day as the HTC Rezound.

Just as a short reminder, the HTC Rezound will sport an HD screen, a 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU and a nice pair of Beats by Dr. Dre ear-buds.

According to the leaked memo you can see above, the HTC Rezound is going to hit shelves on the 11th of November. The photo does mention the launch date is “Tentative” so take this with the usual pinch of salt, but even if it arrives later I don’t think it will be after November so you can go empty your piggy bank if you want a piece of HD action.
The list also mentions that the freshly announced Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Droid HD a.k.a. Motorola Droid RAZR will join the party in the same day, so you should head early to your local Verizon store before the queue gets too long.
This may be a bold move from Big Red to release the hottest smartphone trio in the same day, but let’s hope that will encourage rival carriers to raise competitiveness. So, will you be getting the HTC Rezound , one of the other two smartphones previously mentioned or will you take a rain check ?
