A while ago we took the first few looks at the upcoming “update” the HTC Sensation will be receiving. All looked pretty good for the Sensation and the upgraded specs along with a Beats Audio headset seemed to make the deal all that much sweeter for anyone out there who enjoys their music via their smartphone. So this time around, let’s take a nice and in-depth look at the HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio and see what the specs, the release date and pricing in certain areas will be!
HTC’s Sensation XE with Beats Audio processing as well as Beats by Dr. Dre headphones is shaping up to be quite the device. Measuring in at 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm (that’s 4.96 x 2.57 x 0.44 inches) and weighing in at 151 g (that’s 5.33 oz), the device is anything but light. Considering the HTC build quality levels, you are in for a treat. The display measures in at 4.3 inches with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and powering this beast is a new 1.5 GHz processor, the Qualcomm 8260 dual-core beast. You also get 768MB of RAM powering it through applications.
HTC Sensation XE - Release Date, Specs, Beats Audio – Overview
The main camera on the HTC Sensation XE is an 8 megapixel shooter with dual-LED flash as well as full 1080p HD recording at 30 fps, while a front facing VGA shooter will take care of those of you who enjoy video calls. The internal storage has also been upped to 4GB with the device coming in with a micro SD card slot as well. The Beats by Dr. Dre headphones should easily sweeten the deal, as such a pair does cost quite a bit of cash.
The HTC Sensation XE release date is scheduled for late September, although those of you living in the UK will be getting it starting with the 1st of October from Phones4U who will be selling an exclusive white version of the initial Sensation alongside the updated model. Clove announced that it will be offering up the Sensation XE starting with the 7th of October. Pricing at Clove is set at 492 GBP (that’s roughly $780) for the off-contract version. Phones4U is also offering a contract option for both the white Sensation (it’s not the concert we’re talking about) for free if you chose the 31 GBP or more contract and you can get the Sensation XE for free if you go for a 36 GBP or more contract.
All in all, the HTC Sensation XE shapes up to be one of the best devices of this fall, with some killer specs and a ton of cool accessories. If that’s not enough, the rather low price tag (I know that some might find it high, but a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headsets will set you back quite a lot) and the cool offers which are already popping up, make it the device to get!
