The long-awaited Nokia Lumia 920 has hit the shelves at AT&T but in case that particular gadget is not really right up your alley, or if you simply don’t want to sign up to a contract with the aforementioned carrier, then you may want to consider giving the HTC Windows Phone 8X (aka HTC 8X) a try.
Both the release date and price of this particular WP 8-powered device have been rumored on numerous occasions, so many times that it has been rather difficult to keep track. But, keeping track is not necessary anymore because the handset is now available for purchase at T-Mobile and Verizon. More details below.
[Editor: I don't know if Mihai got confused or he just mad a mistake, but all of you should know that the HTC 8X is also available via AT&T. This article tough, is about HTC Windows Phone 8X at Verizon and T-Mobile ]
HTC Windows Phone 8X at Verizon and T-Mobile
We’ve spotted the 8X on T-Mobile’s website back in September but no information came with that rather badly Photoshoped picture. Now however, it’s official and the carrier has started offering the device on a two-year contract for the price of $199.99, after a $50 mail-in rebate. It seems that only the California Blue model is available, so in case you’d like another flavor then you might want to consider Big Red (or AT&T).
Speaking of Verizon, the carrier is also offering the HTC Windows Phone 8X for the price of $199.99 on contract (without a rebate), but at this point in time it looks like only the black model is in stock, with the blue and red flavors expected to be shipped by November 19th and 27th respectively.
Verizon’s HTC 8X also comes with build-in wireless charging which apparently is a Verizon-exclusive feature, but then again there are other things to consider when choosing your carrier, so it all depends to your needs.
