The IFA trade show in Berlin is set to be under way starting with the 5th of September, but much like in previous years, numerous smartphone manufacturers will hold special unveiling events for their latest products a few days before the start of the show. Such is the case with Huawei who already sent out press invites for an event that will take place at IFA on September 4, where the extensively leaked and rumored Huawei Ascend Mate 7 will most probably hit the stage.
The Ascend Mate 7 has been spotted in various corners of the Internet on numerous occasions before, and needless to say the aforementioned device reappeared on our radar earlier today, when it was captured on camera boasting a very thin bezel and a fingerprint scanner. Check it out and join us after the break for more details.
Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Caught On Camera
As you can probably tell by the watermark, the two pictures have seen the light of day through China’s social media network known as Weibo. Much like the previous leaks have revealed, the smartphone’s back panel accommodates a main camera, an LED flash, and more intriguing, a fingerprint scanner. The front panel doesn’t go by unnoticed either, as it seems to boast extremely thin bezels.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 was previously spotted in AnTuTu’s database as well, and as far as the hardware specifications go, it appears that the handset sports a 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a Kirin 920 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, an ARM Mali-T625 MP4 graphics chip and 2 or 3 GB of RAM. The main camera should have a resolution of 13 MP, whereas the front-facing sensor is a more selfie-oriented 5 MP unit.
Once again, the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is expected to become official on the 4th day of September in Berlin, at which time we’ll most likely learn more about the smartphone’s specs, availability and price. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted.
