Remember those rumors according to which Google will team up with Huawei for this year’s Nexus smartphone (we also heard LG is in the cards)? Well, today new info has surfaced on the matter, via a Chinese analyst who seems to have good connections inside the Chinese mobile tech industry.
According to Pan Jiutang, the Huawei made Nexus smartphone will be powered by none other than Snapdragon 810 (let’s hope it will be this version) and will feature a 5.7-inch 2K screen (actually QHD – 1440 x 2560 pixels). This comes as an awkward news considering that, not long ago, Huawei’s CEO has made some negative comments towards the usefulness of such tech in today’s smarthpones. But, then again, it’s Google who is designing the Nexus hardware, so if this is true, Huawei had no say in the matter.
What do you think? Would you buy a Huawei made Nexus smartphone? Would you have welcomed a Nexus powered by Huawei’s own silicon? Let us know in the comments section!
