iPhone 5S Release Date – Sooner Than Anticipated?
If in the past Apple used to release an iPhone every year or every year and a half, the Cupertino-based company seems to be changing its strategy. Rumors regarding a July iPhone 5S release date have started circulating for over a month, but recent reports seem to suggest an even earlier launch.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who made accurate predictions regarding Apple’s products in the past, the company is planning to release the iPhone 5S, as well as a budget friendly model, in June. Hit the break if you’re curious to see what features Apple’s newest smartphones are rumored to have.
iPhone 5S Rumored Features
The same analyst says the iPhone 5S will feature numerous next-gen Apple technologies and it may be powered by a faster A7 SoC and pack a more solid battery (1600 mAh), as well as a multiple LED flash for better-quality pictures, while keeping, at the same time, the thin aluminum chassis already found on the iPhone 5. Additionally, since Apple purchased AuthenTec for $356 million, the smartphone is expected to bring a fingerprint security method.
The low-cost counterpart, on the other hand, is supposed to be heavier than the 5S, with a chassis allegedly made out of fiberglass and plastic materials.
It’s also rumored/believed that the cheaper version of the next gen iPhone will also come with LTE-connectivity, suggesting that mobile carriers could cover for the entire price of the smartphone, provided that a two-year contract is signed – an option that will be very attractive for markets such as China.
Regarding the price or specs of these two smartphones, nothing much is known so far, but we’ll make sure to keep an eye on the matter and update you as soon as we have more information. In the meantime, let us know if you’re planning on purchasing one of these two iPhones, or do you have another smarpthone in mind?
