We all know that the launch of the iPhone 6 is getting closer by the day, but as is the case with most unannounced smartphones, we don’t actually know when exactly it will hit the shelves. Numerous theories have been passed along already, but the one that seems to stick the most suggests that the iPhone 6 will go on sale on or around the 19th of September.
Now a new report emerged from the Chinese blogosphere, “reconfirming” that the iPhone 6 will go live in mid-September. You’ll find the rest of the story right after the break.
iPhone 6 Release Date: Between 16th and 19th of September?
As some of you might be able to recall, and older rumor dating back to June suggested that Apple’s next flagship phone will go on sale in China on the 19th day of September, at the price of roughly 5,288 yuan. Earlier today this rumor has been reconfirmed by PCinLife (China’s self-proclaimed nr. 1 IT portal) via its official Weibo account. According to these guys, the iPhone 6 will hit the market between the 16th and 19th of September.
“But what about the smartphone’s launch on the global market?” you may ask. Well, interestingly enough, some of you might remember that earlier in May, a German retailer also claimed that the iPhone 6 will hit the shelves on September 19. Of course we can’t know for sure when the iPhone 6 will go on sale until Apple makes the official announcement, but the evidence so far puts a lot of weight on the idea that iPhone enthusiasts will get their chance to buy the iPhone 6 sometime during the 3rd week of September.
NOTE: This is most likely the release date/time-frame of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. The 5.5-inch model is rumored to debut sometime in December.
Whatever the case, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for more clues, so stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted.
