LG Connect 4G at MetroPCS – Release Date, Specs – Overview

by bogdan on January 13, 2012

LG Mobile has joined hands with MetroPCS Communications, the only 4G LTE provider in the U.S. that doesn’t require a contract. Together, they are bringing the LG Connect 4G, which will be the carrier’s first 1.2 GHz dual-core smartphone, answering the need for performance and entertainment of their clients. We bring you an overview, covering the LG Connect 4G release date and specs. Read more below.

LG Connect 4G Release Date

To start off, the LG Connect 4G release date is scheduled to take place at MetroPCS within the next month, though we have yet to get an exact timeline of the event. But this doesn’t mean that a lot of time has to pass until we hear more of the release date, since there’s only one month between Metro PCS’s customers and the LG Connect 4G.

I can definitely understand the need of an exact release date because, as I’ve said, the LG Connect 4G is the first smartphone to be featured at MetroPCS with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor.

Talking about the processor, let’s now get to the LG Connect 4G specs. Featuring a 4-inch NOVA display with Corning Gorilla Glass, the LG Connect 4G is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, is capable of recording 720p HD videos via its 5 Mp rear camera with flash (it also carries a front one – no info about it yet). The LG Connect 4G sound is offered by Dolby Mobile and the Rhapsody Unlimited Music service will come pre-loaded on the smartphone. The LG Connect 4G specs continue with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and the 4G LTE capability courtesy of MetroPCS.

If you’re interested in getting the LG Connect 4G from MetroPCS, you can choose between two plans at the moment: a $50 one, which offers unlimited talk, text and browsing via 4G LTE plus a 1 GB multimedia streaming access and a $60 one, which offers the above plus unlimited multimedia streaming.

The LG Connect 4G will be available both online and in MetroPCS stores next month, so either keep watch on their website or check out ours to be updated on the LG Connect 4G release date.

What do you guys think about the LG Connect 4G ? Are there any MetroPCS fans that were waiting for such a smartphone ? How do you feel about it?
