In about a week Google is expected to reveal some pretty interesting gadgets, as everyone has been invited to meet the Galaxy Nexus younger brother(s). Although nothing is yet certain at this point, we can speculate that the LG Nexus 4 will be one of these new Nexus smartphones we’ve heard so much about lately.
We’ve also wondered whether or not the LG Nexus 4 will share some hardware with its non-Google counterpart, the LG Optimus G, and more recent leaks are now indicating that indeed, both handsets should have lots in common. More details below.
LG Nexus 4 Specs
As you can see, the tweet above comes with a nice picture depicting what appears to be the Nexus 4 and with a short list of purported specs.
We’re looking at a 4.7 inch screen supporting a resolution of 769 x 1280, a quad-core CPU running at 1.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 8 / 16 GB of internal storage, an 8 MP camera on the back and a 2,100 mAh battery to keep everything up and running for a pretty decent amount of time.
Overall, we’re looking at the LG Optimus G repackaged in a Nexus device, but still these two beasts are not identical. As you may already know, the Optimus G comes with a 13 MP rear-facing camera in some regions (or at some carriers) and the latter also delivers more storage.
On the other hand, we’re expecting the Nexus 4 to run on the latest Android OS iteration (whether it’s Android 4.1.2 or the rumored 4.2) and as always, timely updates are sometimes a big selling point.
LG Nexus 4 Release Date and Price
As far as the LG Nexus 4 release date is concerned, rumor has it that the handset will be available, on Google Play, on the same day when Google will announce it.
Interested how much will LG Nexus 4 set you back ? Of course you are. Well, nothing is official yet but we’ve came across some hints pointing towards a pretty affordable price tag (hit the link for more).
