LG Optimus L7 Jelly Bean Update – Check Out The Changelog
It was just a few of days ago when we’ve reported that the LG Optimus L9 has received the Jelly Bean update in Europe, and today we bring you more bits of information regarding Android 4.1 and one of L9’s siblings.
Indeed, LG is apparently getting ready to launch Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the LG Optimus L7 as well, so as always, if you do own this particular gadget, you might want to join us after the break. We have a changelog and everything.
LG Optimus L7 Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)
LG Germany has recently announced that the L7 will soon make the jump to Android 4.1. Unfortunately, the manufacturer hasn’t really announced an exact release date. LG has also pointed out that any carrier-branded L7 variant might be subject to certain delays, due to the fact that the approval process takes a tad longer when network operators are involved. In other words, it’s the usual stuff.
Anyhow, on the bright side, LG has been kind enough to publish a changelog so if you’re wondering what goodies you can expect once Jelly Bean arrives, then here they are: Project Butter optimizations will increase smoothness and performance on the device, improved responsiveness, Google Now will be on-board, Android Beam 2.0, expandable and actionable notifications, offline support for Dictate has been added and support for Wi-Fi Protected Setup is included as well.
Lastly, we should also point out that according to LG, the update will not arrive over-the-air so you’ll need to grab that USB cable and install LG Mobile Support Tool on your PC, if you haven’t done so already.
We’ll keep you up to speed as soon as the story develops so stay tuned.
Thanks Android Authority for the heads-up regarding the LG Optimus L7 Jelly Bean update.
