Although the Meizu MX4 has been rumored to be in the works for many months, lately we haven’t really heard much about the device. The first reports regarding the MX4 surfaced back in December 2013, when the smartphone was expected to feature a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1536. There have also been reports indicating that Meizu could release two variants of the same device – the second one sporting a smaller 5-inch panel with a Full HD resolution.
Truthfully, we haven’t been able to learn too much about the device since, but the good news is that the Meizu MX4’s release date should, in theory, draw nearer with every passing week. Not only that, but based on the latest leaks, the smartphone promises to deliver the thinnest bezels in the mobile world!
Meizu MX4 to Have the Extremely Thin Bezels?
The pictures you see above and below have been recently shared by ePrice via Weibo, and what we’re looking at is the alleged front panel of the device, alongside its schematics. The most interesting part about this leak however, is the fact that the source claims the MX4 to deliver the world’s thinnest bezel. The glass panel’s border reportedly measures 1.1 millimeters, and it sure looks extremely narrow especially when placed side-by-side with the competition (or what seems to be a couple of front panels from Sony’s Xperia line-up).
The source hasn’t revealed any other details regarding the Meizu MX4, but the smartphone has been previously rumored to feature a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM and a 16 MP main camera mated with a “selfie”-centered 5 MP front-facing sensor. An early report from China also suggested that the MX4 will become available starting with early August, so we may actually have the opportunity to discuss at large about this interesting smartphone pretty soon. Until then, stay tuned and feel free to share your thoughts below.
