Motorola has announced that the Moto X will become available in the US, Canada and Latin America starting with late August – early September. That said, if you’re X enthusiasts and you live in one of the aforementioned regions, then get your wallets ready.

Price-wise, the Moto X will arrive at the suggested retail price of $199.99 alongside a new two-year contract. The X will be available via AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular. T-Mobile will also join the party, but unfortunately, the T-Mobile model will not be offered in the carrier’s stores, but directly through Motorola channels. Magenta has announced that more details regarding distribution in their stores might arrive at a later date.

The Moto X will also be retailed through Best Buy where the handset is already available for pre-order, bearing Sprint’s, AT&T’s and / or Verizon’s logo. The price is of course set at $199.99 on a two year contract.

Motorola has also announced that Moto Maker will be available for AT&T users at first and for Best Buy later on. Moto Maker is the special website through which prospective customers can customize their Moto X. If purchased directly through a carrier’s store, the customization options will be unavailable so you’ll have to choose between woven white or woven black.

Now as far as specific release dates are concerned, it’s been rumored that Verizon will launch the Moto X on August 29th, while both Sprint and AT&T will release it 6 days earlier, on August 23rd.
