If you like keyboards as much as I do you will probably know the difference between the Cherry MX Blue keyswitches and the Cherry MX Black keyswitches. You will probably still type this message on your old IBM buckling spring keyboard and you will love it. So why not have some of that key press goodness on a smartphone as well?
The Motorola Droid 4 is one of my personal “can’t wait for it” devices to come out on the market. The device was officially announced by Verizon at CES and we have more proof that the Droid 4 is closing in on its release date!
Motorola Droid 4 Release Date
You might know by now that we expected the Droid 4 to hit shelves late in 2011 (December 8th and then December 22nd). However, even if the smartphone has missed the aforementioned dates it’s clear that Verizon initially planned for a 2011 launch, as Motorola Droid 4 has appeared on our radar way to many times for a smartphone that was still months away from release.
And while CES 2012 brought what we anxiously expected for, the official announcement of the Motorola Droid 4, Verizon and the manufacturer still kept mum on the release date (they just trowed in an ambiguous “in the coming weeks“) and price tag. However, there are many more new developments that are making us believe that the Droid 4 release date at Verizon is just around the corner. Join us after the break for details.

Motorola Droid 4 Release Date: Really Close ?
Motorola’s Droid 4 is bringing quite a large number of improvements over the Motorola Droid 3, reason for which this not so old smartphone (around 6 months) is already heading toward its “End of Life” cycle.
Most recently, Droid 4′s “user guide” has surfaced and this can only mean that we are closing in fast on the release date of one of my personal favorites. All the above-mentioned pieces of evidence make the February 2nd release date rumor seem pretty spot on.
As far as the Motorola Droid 4 price tag is concerned it seems that this baby won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Thanks to a Verizon MAP which has been recently leaked we know that the Motorola Droid 4 price tag will most likely be set at $249.99 (with a two year contract with Verizon).

Motorola Droid 4 Release Date: One Step Closer
Motorola Droid 4
With a design very similar to that of the Droid RAZR, a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard and 4G LTE support, the Motorola Droid 4 seems like the device to get this spring for those looking for a powerful LTE device.
For the time being there is no specific release date, but coupling this latest information with some elements we’ve heard before, I think that we won’t have to wait too long to get our hands on the latest the Droid lineup has to offer. Throw some global roaming into the mix with the Motorola Droid 4 and you have a winner.
For more info regarding the specs of this RAZR-like QWERTY slider check out our Motorola Droid 4 Overview.
Are you excited about this ? Because I am still trying to collect my cat off my ceiling after jumping up from excitement
. Stay tuned!
