Motorola Droid 4 Release Date Couldn’t Be Closer

If it’s one thing that’s spelling “new device incoming” (well, without actually spelling it) then it must be a discounted model that reaches its “End of Life” cycle. Whenever you see the price tag of a device dropping (read: going rock bottom), chances are good that its replacement is well on the way.

Motorola Droid 4 Release Date

After we’ve heard a while ago that the Motorola Droid 3 is reaching its “End of Life” cycle, we knew that the Motorola Droid 4 release date was coming in closer and closer. Not only that, but a number of rock-hard pieces of evidence that have appeared left and right pointing towards the upcoming launch of the Motorola Droid 4 have proven that we are indeed close. The Motorola Droid 4 release date couldn’t be closer!

This time around, the news indirectly came via Verizon as the carrier has dropped the price tag on the Motorola Droid 3 yet again. After dropping the price for the device when they first announced the Motorola Droid 4 down to $99 on a 2 year contract, this time around we saw another huge discount being thrown into the mix by the network.

The Motorola Droid 3 price tag is now down to $49.99 on a 2 year agreement with the carrier, so if there was a time to get a new device, this one seems to be it.

As far as an actual Motorola Droid 4 release date goes, rumors are pointing towards February 2nd. The upcoming Droid should set you back around $250 (with a two year contract with the carrier).

If you don’t mind the lack of 4G LTE connectivity, the Motorola Droid 3 does pack quite a lot of goodies and for $49 on a 2 year contract, it’s a steal folks. However, if you want and need the added connection speed (and all the other improvements – check our Motorola Droid 4 Overview for more details), then this is a clear indicator that the Motorola Droid 4 is just right around the corner and that we couldn’t be any closer to the release date of the latest Droid.

So if you are in the market for a dual-core QWERTY slider, the Motorola Droid 3 price is now $49.99 on a 2 year agreement and if you want 4G LTE thrown into the mix, the Motorola Droid 4 release date is upon us soon!
