The Motorola Droid 4 is finally getting out from the shadows where it lurked until recently. We talked some time ago about the fact that, despite Motorola Droid 3′s recent release, the Motorola Droid 4 release date is probably much closer than you would think. Recently more things have surfaced regarding this handset (pictures, accessories, rumored release dates and, more important, the official Motorola Droid 4 spec-list) and we’re here to tell you all about it.
Motorola Droid 4
Recently some Verizon-originated docs with the official Motorola Droid 4 specs have surfaced and boy, slide-out QWERTY aficionados are going to looove this.
The Motorola Droid 4 is boasting with a 4-inch TFT display, though we don’t currently know whether it’s an AMOLED or LCD one, offering a 960 x 540 resolution. The Droid 4 will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32 GB by microSD card), an 8 Mp camera with LED flash, image stabilization and 1080p recording coupled with a front camera.
The Motorola Droid 4 also sports 4G LTE connectivity and, as expected, a full 5-row QWERTY keyboard for those of you who are enjoying hardware keyboards instead of virtual ones.
So, all in all, it looks like we are dealing with the QWERTY version of the Motorola Droid RAZR. Can you say VERY COOL ? Or maybe: this is what Motorola Droid 3 should have been ?

Motorola Droid 4 Release Date and Specs Guide (Verizon)
The Motorola Droid 4 specs look mighty awesome if you ask me and what I could be against is the usage of a special tool to remove the rear cover in order to access the SD card and SIM.
By the looks of it the Droid 4 will take one more page from the Droid RAZR handbook and come with a non-removable battery but let’s hold out for the official announcement before boooing the manufacturer.

Motorola Droid 4 In All Its "Droid RAZR"-like Glory
If you’ve been paying attention to the buzz that surrounded the Motorola Droid 3 launch (or if you own a Droid 3), you might remember (or know) that the smartphone did not enjoyed Lapdock compatibility. This is all about to change with Motorola Droid 4 as this guy will be compatible with both Lapdock 100 and 500 Pro. Two HD Docks and a Wireless Keyboard with TrackPad will also be available so that users can get everything (and anything) out of their brand new Droid 4.

Motorola Droid 4 Release Date
As you might expect, the Droid 4 will probably drop just in time for the holidays. And even though neither Verizon or Motorola have announced anything official, rumor has it that the Motorola Droid 4 release date is scheduled for December 8th.
What do you guys think about the Motorola Droid 4 specs ? Will you be buying one ? Do you think the Motorola Droid 4 release date will take place on December 8th and thus facing the “all-mighty” Samsung Galaxy Nexus (who also is rumored to hit shelves on Dec 8th).
Many thanks to Droid Life for providing us with the news of the rumored Motorola Droid 4 release date.
