With a huge array of manufacturers fighting for supremacy, the beginning of the year is one of the best periods there is to get some new devices rolling. We’ve been hearing news and rumors about the Motorola Droid 4 for quite some time so we’re quite familiar with this upcoming Droid, up to the point that we know almost everything there is to know about it. However, there are more news and info on the upcoming Motorola Droid 4 along with a (new) rumored release date. So let’s get this started shall we.
Motorola’s Droid 4 got a small “preview” with the folks at Technobuffalo who got their hands on a demo unit. This is not a functioning version of the device but it does show off the way it looks and boy does it look good.
We also have a few leaked technical specifications for the Motorola Droid 4 on board apart from a huge pic gallery. As such, the rumored Motorola Droid 4 is coming with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM, a 4-inch qHD screen, 16GB of built-in storage, micro SD card slot, 8 MP main-camera with HD recording and a HD front-facing camera. Nothing really new here but it’s nice to be reassured that Droid 4 is actually a Motorola Droid RAZR with a slide-out QWERTY.

You’ll also be getting HDMI out along with a 1785mAh battery to power the Motorola Droid 4 along nicely. Although we’ve gotten a good look at what seems to be a Droid RAZR with a keyboard, I can’t say that I mind it, not one bit.
Another Droid 4 sighting came from the folks at Best Buy who already have a pretty serious Android smartphone lineup and who have offered excellent deals on a number of Droid phones as well. They are showing off the Motorola Droid 4 in the Best Buy Mobile Solutions Reward Zone which makes us think that the Motorola Droid 4 release date was initially scheduled for December, just like the rumors and leaks have pointed out (December 8th, December 22nd).

If until now you were a skeptic about the fact that Motorola Droid 4 was supposed to be here by now (or that its release date is just around the corner) then the last piece of information we have on the upcoming Motorola Droid device comes via the folks at Droid-Life (*waves at them*) who got their hands on a a few shots with some accessories for the Motorola Droid 4.
These accessories are clearly meant for the mighty Droid 4 and if all of this sums up we might even find some truth in the rumors stating that the Motorola Droid 4 release date is set for some time in February this year. Although there weren’t any official announcements in that regard we bet you good money that CES will give us some more information in this regard.

Motorola Droid 4 Release Date
We’ve already talked about the fact that Verizon most likely planned to release the Motorola Droid 4 sometime in December. However, this did not happen as the carrier probably didn’t want to over-saturate the market (Samsung Galaxy Nexus, HTC Rezound and Motorola Droid RAZR have all been recently launched).
A new leak points to a February 2nd Motorola Droid 4 release date. However, like all the previous rumors this might also prove inaccurate but the signs really do point towards the fact that Droid 4 will soon hit shelves (e.g. DroidDoes, FCC).
