We knew for some time that the Motorola Droid Bionic would be getting an update and although we’ve heard rumors about the possibility of the 5.9.902 software version coming out, people still wanted to think that the Motorola Droid Bionic Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich would turn out and see the light of day. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case, as the Motorola Droid Bionic has just received the 5.9.902 update.
But this does not mean that this new Motorola Droid Bionic update is not important, because it does bring a series of bug fixes that users needed, especially those whose Bionic suffered from crashes and/or lock-ups.

Motorola Droid Bionic Bug-Fixer OTA Update Gets Released (v. 5.9.902)
Motorola Droid Bionic Update
Let’s see what this 57.6MB update offers to the Motorola Droid Bionic. The most important set is related to the device itself, as black screen lockups, idle resets, multimedia dock lockups and also camera multi-shot lockups are a thing of the past. The Motorola Droid Bionic also gets improved battery life, Verizon Emergency Alerts, better streaming and Bluetooth audio.
Not only that, but the Motorola Droid Bionic update brings not only a more stable smartphone, but also better data connectivity, the ability to play WAV files and also the Amazon MP3 and VCast AppsStore that come preloaded.
It might not be the Motorola Droid Bionic Ice Cream Sandwich update that people were looking for, but it’s not that shabby either. What do you guys think about this Motorola Droid Bionic OTA update ? Are you happy that the lockups are now gone ?
Many thanks to Android Central for letting us know about the Motorola Droid Bionic update.
