It’s time (once again) to continue telling the story of the Motorola Droid RAZR HD as it unfolds, and in retrospect, it’s a pretty lengthy story to begin with so it makes you wonder for how long will Motorola drag the plot.
Well, there were plenty of rumors concerning the Droid RAZR HD’s release date in the past and last time we’ve heard about it, anonymous tipsters were claiming that Motorola’s upcoming flagship phone will not see the light of day earlier than October. That’s rather disappointing because a few months ago we were expecting the HD to be able to compete with the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S3, but an October launch places it right between the crosshairs of Apple’s upcoming iPhone. Nevertheless, the rumor mill keeps spinning and new information about the RAZR HD’s launch date has surfaced.

If you’ve followed us the last few days and if you’ve kept your eyes on the RAZR HD then you might already be aware of the theory that was circulating around the blogosphere, claiming that the HD’s launch date will be affected by how well the original RAZR / RAZR MAXX will sell until fall.
We’re still not sure what to make of that since the RAZR / MAXX are pretty old devices, but if we’re to believe the latest rumors, sales figures for the RAZR become irrelevant anyway.
According to these latest rumors the RAZR HD will simply not hit the market by October and in fact, the launch of the device is expected to happen within the October-November time-frame.
These past days we also found out that, according to sources, Motorola has come to a definitive RAZR HD design, along with other rumors and news concerning the handset’s battery and the possibility of a RAZR HD MAXX edition. Hit the links if interested.
Once again we’re beginning to wonder whether or not the HD will stand a chance against its competition, but perhaps Motorola has an Ace up its sleeve. I suppose we’ll need to wait and see how the story develops but I’m pretty confident some RAZR enthusiasts might lose interest by then. Stay tuned!
