There are times when I think that Motorola has the worst possible corporate security out there, but then again, I keep reminding myself of how Sony dropped the ball a few months ago. The reason for saying this is the fact that, compared to Samsung or even Apple, Motorola somehow always ends up in the position in which we know almost everything about their upcoming phones, we have clear pictures of them and in some situations even benchmarks (Droid RAZR NenaMark or the Motorola Atrix 2 benchmark). I’m not complaining though, since this makes my job easier – meet the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Motorola Xoom 2!
Both devices seem to have prepared for this photo-shoot and showed us their good side. The Motorola Droid RAZR (or Motorola Spyder for friends and family) shows us a basically finished form, along with a Verizon logo, which isn’t a surprise to be honest, seeing the Droid branding. The device seems to also come with the Kevlar coating we’ve been hearing about for a while now so I can’t wait to get my hands on the device to see for myself how Kevlar increases the coolness factor of anything (think of a Kevlar covered toaster!).
Motorola Xoom 2 (hit the link for some rumored specs) is also in a better shape than we’ve last heard about it and the model posing for us in this fine evening is the 8.2 inch version of the Android tablet. It seems that these two devices for Motorola are pretty close to their release date as both the images show and as the tipster has informed the guys at Engadget.
Another interesting piece of info is that the Motorola Droid RAZR (Motorola Spyder) is equipped with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, yet the “retail” version will be coming with a 1.2GHz processor. In case you are wondering, this is most likely tied to battery life.
Seeing both devices pretty much in their final form, as these leaked pics are suggesting, make us believe that the Droid RAZR release date is closing in on us; its the announcement at least. With the issues plaguing the Motorola Xoom 2 being solved, its release date is also closing in on us so make sure to stay tuned!
Thanks Engadget for letting us know about the leaked Droid RAZR and Xoom 2 pics.
