Motorola Droid RAZR, RAZR MAXX Ice Cream Sandwich: Really Close After All ? (Android 4 ICS)

by Mihai on April 13, 2012

Not long ago we’ve related in one of our other articles that the Ice Cream Sandwich update might be getting closer to the Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX, mainly due to a few tutorial videos concerning the update and how Android 4 ICS works on the above mentioned devices. Although the videos themselves aren’t pointing towards a definitive release of the update, the fact that tutorial videos for the Ice Cream Sandwiched Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX surfaced, could indicate a closer than expected launch date of the update.

What we didn’t mention is that the tutorial videos were not posted by Motorola or Verizon as one would expect, but by a fellow Motorola customer. Join us after the break for more.

Motorola Droid RAZR/MAXX Ice Cream Sandwich Getting Closer?

The tutorial videos concerning ICS on the Droid RAZR/MAXX were actually posted by a fellow “YouTuber” which recently has also posted a video showcasing the ICS webtop 3.0 Beta update for the Droid RAZR. Bottom line is, the ICS tutorial videos on the Droid RAZR might’ve been pulled from the above mentioned leak. As mentioned in our other article, the quality of the videos indicates that the tutorials are official, which points out that both Verizon and Motorola might indeed be pleased enough with the update to make these tutorial videos in the first place.

Overall, this whole thing adds up to the controversy concerning the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX, but we really hope that these latest events will bring with them some official word on the matter, other than the good old “Coming soon” of course.

Thanks DroidLife for the heads-up concerning the Motorola Droid RAZR/RAZR MAXX Ice Cream Sandwich.
