In case you’re a fan of smartphones featuring physical QWERTY keyboard and you are on the lookout to purchase a brand new one then this summer you’re in for a treat because it looks like you will have quite a few options to choose from. If you’ve been with us for a while then you might already know about the T-Mobile’s upcoming Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q (now called Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G). It sounds pretty darn good but in case the device in question is not really your cup of tea or if Magenta isn’t your carrier then you might be interested in the Motorola Photon Q at Sprint.
Motorola Photon Q at Sprint: Release Date and Price Tag
The Photon Q has been announced quite recently, at the end of July to be more precise and we’ve kept our eyes on this one ever since. Meanwhile we’ve heard that the release date might be just around the corner and as it turns out Sprint didn’t take too long to officially announce the handset’s price and release date. If you’re a fan join us after the break and learn everything there is to know about pricing and availability.
Sprint has announced via a press release that the Photon Q (4G LTE) will arrive on their shelves starting with August 19th so this Sunday has been one hell of a way to end the week for all those QWERTY lovers and Sprint fans out there.
Price wise the Photon Q will set you back $199.99 alongside a two-year agreement with the carrier, evidently.
As for what you’ll get for your money, we’ve already covered what the handset can do in our overview, but to give you a general idea, you will benefit from a quad-core 1.5 GHz CPU, Android 4.0.4 out of the box but most importantly, a nice QWERTY keyboard hidden beneath the screen and support for Sprint’s brand new LTE network.
That’s pretty much it so make sure you visit Sprint’s official website if you wish to your very own Photon Q (or take a trip to the nearest Sprint retailer if buying online just ain’t your thing). Interested?
