Back at the beginning of November we’ve got word that the Motorola Droid RAZR HD Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is already in the works, and more recently, those leaks and rumors have been confirmed by Verizon itself as the carrier has recently launched the update on Motorola’s flagship phone.
In any case, back in November we also got word that the RAZR HD at Rogers might receive its fair share of Jelly Bean by the end of the year, but I’m afraid that’s not necessarily going to be the case. That being said, if you happen to own the RAZR HD and you reside a bit further up North in Canada, join us after the break and we’ll tell all about the latest.
Motorola RAZR HD Jelly Bean in Canada (Android 4.1)
According to the latest information shared with us by Motorola via its device update page, the RAZR HD will receive its Android 4.1 update a bit later than we’d like. To be more precise, if you happen to own the RAZR HD in Canada you shouldn’t hold your breath for a timely Jelly Bean arrival, considering the fact that the company’s update page is listing your device alongside a Q1 2013 Android 4.1 release timeframe.
So, at least in theory, that means you might receive the update as late as May next year, but let’s not get carried away and remain positive.
Keeping in mind that, even as we speak, Verizon is in the process of rolling out the update on its Droid RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD, it shouldn’t take too long for the RAZR HD in Canada to receive it either. In any case, we’ll keep you up to date as soon as the story develops, so stay tuned.
Thanks Android Police for the heads-up regarding the Motorola RAZR HD Jelly Bean in Canada.
