The holidays are upon us folks! No, just kidding, we still have a few months before the holiday decorations start going up, before people are getting ready to get cozy in their houses or flats and expect dual-core smartphones in nicely gift wrapped boxes. What? Don’t you want a new one? In any case, if you are rather the tablet type, then feast your eyes on the rumored specs of the upcoming Motorola Xoom 2 which was just recently spotted in the wild. Although the first Xoom was barely launched (roughly 6 months), Moto is throwing more hardware at us and boy do we love that!
The rumored Motorola Xoom 2 specs include a similar 10.1 inch sized display, yet the new model will be measuring in at only 9mm in thickness. That’s still a nudge thicker than the iPad 2 with its 8.8mm, yet it’s a good step into the right direction nonetheless. The leaks also claimed that the Motorola Xoom 2 will be coming with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor to power it along nicely along with 1 GB of RAM, which is supposed to work at higher speeds than on the previous model.

The main camera of the Motorola Xoom 2 is rumored to be able to capture 1080p full HD and the device will still be able to reach up to 11 hours of battery life, compared to the 10 of the first Xoom. The Motorola Xoom 2 is rumored to get also a keyboard case as well as a stylus pen. Still, the larger changes seem to come in the shape of software bundled into it, as the Xoom 2 is rumored to be the very first tablet to ship with Adobe Flash Player 11 as well as stream Netflix in HD. There’s also talk of the device being able to wireless sync to your PC thanks to some applications developed by Moto themselves.

Other rumors which have been lurking around the dark corners of the internet claim that the Motorola Xoom 2 will also come with a built-in IR blaster as well as a home automation software. The rumors end around here, yet the latest leaked image obtained by Endgadget also show off a smaller version of the Xoom 2 with both devices being rumored to come with LTE modems.
