Good news for all of our friends that have a Motorola Xoom from Verizon. Judging by what a tipster that supposedly works over at the Big Red has shared with the community, the Motorola Xoom tablet at Verizon is about to get an official OTA Ice Cream Sandwich update in the following days.

Additional information provided by this source also indicate that the soak test already took place and ended on 19th of April, but truth be told, things are a bit fishy because there was no information about a soak test for the Motorola Xoom in the last few weeks or so. The idea of being able to update Verizon’s Motorola Xoom in a matter of days brings smiles to our faces, but I’d say not to get our hopes up and wait until April 23rd, when the Ice Cream Sandwich update will allegedly be deployed over-the-air by the carrier.
