Samsung and AT&T have announced at CES 2011 a new Android smartphone that goes by the name of Samsung Infuse 4G.
At this year’s edition of CES we’ve seen quite the number of new technologies being announced, probably the most interesting ( “eye-cathcing” to say the least ) being the innovations brought to the displays of our future smartphones.
If the Xperia Arc ( and probably the PlayStation Phone aka Xperia Play ) will come with the “Reality Display” derived from Sony’s award winning Bravia technology and LG has blessed its Optimus Black smartphone with the NOVA display ( “the brightest, clearest and most readable among mobile screens with 700 nits of brightness for optimal visibility” ), Samsung couldn’t stay passive and has announced that the Infuse 4G will boast a Super Amoled Plus display. AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G Announced - Specs, Release Date
The Super Amoled Plus technology increases the number of sub-pixels by 50%. According to Samsung this increase of sub-pixels will make the screen more visible when exposed to bright light.
Also the text and the image edges will appear more crisper and the contrast will be further improved. If you add these enhancements to the already fantastic quality of the classic Amoled display…it’s clearly that Samsung knows how to stay on top of its game when it comes to display technologies.
Samsung Infuse 4G
Ok, let’s go back to the recently announced Samsung Infuse and talk about the rest of its specs:
- 1.2GHz single-core Hummingbird CPU
- 4.5 inch Super Amoled Plus display
- 8MP camera on the back
- 1.3MP camera for video-conferencing
- Android 2.2 OS ( sadly, Samsung Infuse 4G won’t come with 2.3 Gingerbread pre-installed )
- HSPA+ connectivity ( no, altough it bears the 4G in its name, Infuse won’t boast LTE connectivity…strange to say the least )
It was also announced that the Samsung Infuse 4G release date will come sometime in Q2 2011 and the phone will be available exclusively on AT&T.

Yes! FINALLY. I used to loveeee the iPhones, but after seeing the same screen, icons, UI, EVERYTHING it just gets boring and old. Android is alott faster and customizable.

i cant wait til this phone is available for purchase… Ive had 4 iphones, and i know them ALLL TOOO WELL IN & OUT jailbreak or no jailbreak!! I want this phone, but it is taking forever for this phone to come out. I saw my cuz HTC very nice… if samsung takes too long to release they gona loose some sales.
OMG , i am waiting for this phone. what is taking so long? i keep seeing the atrix and inspire 4g and im really tempted to get one. Ill wait a little bit longer( Come on samsung!!!!)
Whatever you do, do not get Atrix. Motorola as US phone maker made all the false promises to it’s customer for all the bangs for the bucks with 1930 mah Battery. But unfortunately sad but true.. that you will find even in ATT website customer review for it’s poor battery performances. So do not buy it, all the advertising u see is all lies.
phone looks amazing…but, it seems its not a true “4g” cause it doesnt have LTE technology, and also i read the RAM is lacking (512mb) while htc has 768mb abd motorola has 1gb

will this work in new zealand? is it a gsm phone because Vodafone New Zealand in gsm and NOT cdma. i know its at&t exclusive so i plan on getting it from USA unlocked so i can use it in NZ Vodafone
i’ve been hearing alot about this phone< and i'm starting to get exicited about it. i've been an iphone junkie from the day one, and i'm trying to wait on the iphone 5 to come out. but if the screen doesn't get any bigger, then i'm off to android world. SORRY

When the infuse comes out I’m trading up from my captivate.. Thats what the infuse is, a better version of the captivate and I love my captivate!!!
Hey, this phone looks to nice…the screen is great, the features are amazing and its just theeeeee best phone coming out…it needs to come out soon, this phone will make so many sales, ans so many customers will love it but it comes out it Q2 which means april, may or june…i really want this and my upgrade is early april but i might just have to wait for it. its just a great advancement in smart phone technology
Word is, 4-30-11 is the release date. They messed up releasing the captive too early, too many problems with captivate when it first came out. They will take there time to release this phone… Samsung does not want be a company who’s best phone always end up having issues. But the only problem with that, we are a have to have now nation… if samsung takes to long people gona buy other phones.
i want the INFUSE! i have waited pass my birthday in april, my friends are showing off there droids, and HTC’s and my capitvate S looks tiny! come on samsung release the phone and give us 2.3 -so we can play with the big droids.

BUT; Do you think they will make a otter box or protective case cause i don’t want to break it!
I just got mine and so far I love it! I ordered an otterbox for and forgot that I had ordered the civer by Ballistics and screen protectors. I like my Ballistics one a lot better and before I would always swear by otterbox. So, i have a black Otterbox if anyone is interested. I’ll charge 45$ and I eat the shipping.
