Cherry Red Dell Streak Coming Soon In US | 32GB and Android 2.2

by el_div on November 25, 2010

Dell has recently announced that the Cherry Red version of Dell Streak will be available in US starting from December 8th. While the Europeans got the cherry red Dell Streak months ago ( UK since July, France since August ), these are good news for the US Dell Streak fans.

But wait, that’s not all. Starting December 8th Dell will also ship unlocked Dell Streaks ( with 32GB ), and most important, Dell Streaks with Android 2.2 Froyo pre-installed.

Again, these might not be groundbreaking news for Dell Streak owners in Japan ( they were the first to get it unlocked with Android 2.2 pre-installed ) or UK ( where the 32GB Dell Streak is available since July ), but the US fans of this one of a kind tablet-phone will certainly be happy about Dell’s decision.

The Carbon Black 32 GB Dell Streak will cost you $649 ( $399 with activation ) and if you want it unlocked and with Android 2.2 Froyo you’ll have to pay $679 for it.

The 32GB Cherry Red Dell Streak will run you $649 ( $399 with activation ), while the unlocked version ( sporting Android 2.2 ) is listed at $679.

If you already own an US Beta Dell Streak, you probably know that AT&T has recently released the Android 2.2 update. If you own an unlocked device bought from EU ( your baseband ends in “00″ ) you should also be able to update your Dell Streak to Froyo.

Thanks StreakSmart for the heads up regarding these new Dell Streak options in the US.
