The release of the Motorola Droid X came along with a disappointment: the operating system, which was then Android 2.1. Soon enough, as it was promised, Motorola delivered the Android 2.2 update. But users encountered many problems after that, so i assume it’s safe to say that the Motorola Droid X Android 2.3 Gingerbread update it’s been a long time coming.
If you own a Motorola Droid X, there is a great chance that you already know there are several leaked versions of Android 2.3 Gingerbread for your smartphone. Maybe you have even tried one of them, but what we know for sure is that you are still waiting for the official Motorola Droid X Android 2.3 Gingerbread update. We don’t know yet for sure when will that happen, but we recently found out that a possible release date is the 13th of May.
Our pals at Droid Life informed us that 4.5.591 is not the latest build the people at Motorola have buttoned up; it is something newer which is expected to become available in a week.
But, then again, this is just a rumor, and we should consider it as such. Let’s hope that this will not be just another leak, and Verizon will sign off on it.
Many thanks to the people at Droid Life for sharing the latest news about the Motorola Droid X Android 2.3 Gingerbread update.
