Signs That Point To An Upcoming Motorola Droid Bionic Release Date

by Catalin Mengheris on July 26, 2011

It seems that after a long absence in the news by the Motorola Droid Bionic, the newest addition to the Droid lineup on Verizon can’t seem to get enough of screen time. The latest rumors and leaks are slowly but steadily bulking up to the point in which we can safely say that the Droid Bionic seems to be nearing the final stretch ever so swiftly. The latest image doesn’t directly confirm anything but if we start adding up the information we have on the Motorola Droid Bionic, we might be onto something here.

Despite Verizon being very careful about the announcements it’s making regarding the Motorola Droid Bionic, a recent image emerged on a number of sources showing off a Verizon display unit which was missing a device. Considering that the support for the missing device is the same size almost as the Motorola Droid X2 next to it, we might be dealing with another 4.3 inch phone, the Motorola Droid Bionic. Now taking that into account, the fact that we just recently saw the Droid Does page for the Droid Bionic and the fact that rumors were hinting towards an August 4th release date, we might be on to something finally.

Despite the large amount of issues which plagued the Motorola Droid Bionic, the company was still determined to offer us a top of the line Android experience and with Verizon as a partner this seems to be as a certain venture. The latest news in this regard gave even more to go by than we initially hoped, so being able to add more evidence to the evidence pile, we will be getting the Droid Bionic rather soon. Even if the release date for this latest Android smartphone isn’t officially confirmed, I think it’s safe to say now that we will be getting it next month.

If you are still interested in buying the $299 Motorola Droid Bionic (leaked price for a 2 year agreement with Verizon) then drop us a line and tell us if in your opinion the wait was indeed worth it. Considering that it also comes with support for the Motorola Webtop environment, I think that those of you who own the laptop dock for the Motorola Atrix 4G might see some more usefulness for it now. Stay tuned for more!
