Nokia Lumia 928 – Verizon’s Newest Windows Phone 8 Flagship
If you’ve been following us lately, you probably remember that we’ve previously talked about two new Lumia 920 based Windows Phone 8 smartphones that are expected to arrive at Verizon and T-Mobile in the upcoming future.
The Nokia Catwalk, a smartphone supposed to be T-Mobile’s improved Lumia 920 version, has been positively reviewed by Russian tech blogger Eldar Murtazin who said it could be one of the most popular devices of the year.
Its Verizon bound sibling however, the Lumia 928 (or Laser) has been flying under the radar…until recently. Join us after the break for some juicy details about the handset.
Nokia Lumia 928 – Release Date and Specs (Rumored)
According to The Verge’s sources “familiar to Nokia’s plans”, the Finnish company is planning to release sometime in April, via Verizon, a new Lumia 920-based smartphone. But will the Lumia 928 be just Verizon’s version of Nokia’s flagship or a standalone device? Well, with the rumored aluminum body, an 8MP PureView camera with LED flash, a much lighter and sleeker design compared to the Lumia 920, the Nokia Laser seems to be more of a standalone handset.
Under the hood, however, we should expect to see the same specs found on the Lumia 920, which were pretty good to begin with. Thus, Verizon’s new WP8 device should be equipped with 4.5-inch display, a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor with 1GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, and the same 2000 mAh battery.
However, you should keep in mind that these specs are subject to change, as they are based on rumors, but we’ll make sure to keep an eye on the matter and provide you with the latest updates, so stay tuned.
Thanks The Verge for the heads-up regarding Nokia Lumia 928 release date and specs.
