It was just a couple of months ago or so, when disappointing rumors about Nokia’s mysterious Android device were making the headlines. Back then, it seemed like the Nokia Android phone has been shelved and would never see the light of day again.
Today the situation is much different and the tables have turned, as the first Nokia Android device is expected to make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress. Regardless, what you’d want to focus on right now, is the fact that I’ve used the term”first Nokia Android device”. So, will there be more than one? Short answer: yes. Scroll down for more details.
Three Nokia Android Phones are in the Making
About a week ago we’ve reported that Nokia may be working on multiple Android devices, and that the Nokia X (previously referred to as the Normandy – check out the latest leaked pics) will not be the best and only such device to be delivered by the Finnish manufacturer.
Today we bring you more information on that matter, from the same source as before. According to these newer reports, Nokia has a total of three Android devices in the pipeline. We’re all familiar with the Nokia X, but then there’s the “Nokia XX” which is supposed to be a more powerful handset than the single X-ed gadget.
Information on the smartphone has allegedly been dug out from an internal email, and the device most likely bears a temporary moniker.
More so, the source also suggests that the third Nokia Android device will be more powerful than the XX, and would fit the flagship market segment. Unfortunately, this device has not been identified with any name, and we refuse to call it the “Nokia triple-X”
Last but not least, we should also point out that, according to these rumors, the Nokia XX and its top-tier alternative will not be unveiled at the MWC. They will also not be launched simultaneously, as the XX will supposedly hit the shelves in May, followed by the beefier device in June. Any Thoughts?
