The Oppo N3’s launch is closing in really fast, and as the title above suggests, all mysteries will be revealed on October 29 when the Chinese manufacturer will finally lift the veil on the highly anticipated flagship phone.
While the release is less than a week away, Oppo still manages to surprise us and earlier today the company’s official Weibo account revealed a new teaser image suggesting that the Oppo N3 will not be alone on the stage. By the looks of it, the manufacturer has been working on two smartphones that are part of the same line-up, and the new contender actually seems to resemble the device depicted in one of the very first leaked renders believed to showcase the Oppo N3.
Oppo Teases Another Device
Unfortunately Oppo hasn’t been as revealing on the new contender as it’s been on the N3, so we’re left guessing. Based on the previously leaked renders, the mysterious device could feature a rotary camera of its own, but whether or not the smartphone shares its hardware characteristics with the N3 remains to be seen.
The N3 is expected to employ a new cooling system, a lithium-aluminum build and a powerful 16 MP “Smart Rotating” camera with a 1/2.3 inch sensor. It will allegedly be powered by a Snapdragon 805 SoC and it should boast a QHD display. Perhaps the new contender will be a mid-range alternative bearing the “Oppo N2” moniker.
Whatever the case, both smartphones might also be accompanied by a third device from a very different category – a VR headset similar to Samsung’s own Gear VR. Needless to say, Oppo has built a lot of excitement around the upcoming event, and we’re very eager to see what the company has prepared for us so late in the year. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we learn more.
