With IFA just around the corner (September 6th), more and more manufacturers are starting to announce their presence, with some of them even announcing the products they’re going to showcase.

Major players like Samsung and Sony are expected to exhibit their latest and upcoming products (both the Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Honami are going to be officially announced on September 4th and we’re hoping to see them showcased at IFA), but we’ll obviously get to see some impressive and exciting products from various other so called “tier 2 companies” (we’re obviously talking about the mobile industry).

According to the latest, one of the aforementioned manufacturers is Panasonic, a company that hasn’t had much success, as far as smartphones and tablets are concerned, outside of Asia (does anybody remember the Panasonic Eluga?).

Panasonic has just announced its “Major Exhibits” for IFA 2013, and one of them caught our eyes.

According to the Japenese manufacturer’s website, next week we’re going to witness the announcement of the world’s thinnest, lightest, 20 inch 4K tablet in the world. Not many other details have been announced, just that the tablet will pack a 4K (3840 pixels × 2160 lines) OLED screen.

Now we don’t know if the tablet will be just a prototype intended to showcase the technology or if it will eventually become available for purchase, but it sure does sound intriguing, to say the least.

The press conference will be held on September 4th, with the tablet to be showcased at Panasonic’s booth for the remainder of the show.
