PlayStation 4 / PS 4 Release Date: Latest Update
The gaming world has been recently taken by storm, as Sony has unveiled extra details regarding its upcoming PlayStation 4 gaming console. There’s still a lot of information that’s missing, but so far we’ve learned enough about the PS4 and its new DualShock 4 controller to keep our interest going.
Nevertheless, one question in particular is popping-up more often than not, and that question obviously has to do with the PlayStation 4 release date. Well, not much has changed, officially, and Sony hasn’t given any details yet, but reports from Gamestop’s Robert A. Lloyd are quite positive.
PlayStation 4 (PS4) – Release Date
It’s pretty safe to remind you that the PS4 will go on sale this year, at least in certain regions. However, as you may have learned from past years, once a new Sony console arrives, it usually isn’t released in all regions at the same time. Reason why US as well as Japan are usually a few steps ahead of Europe. Officially, Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 will be on shelves during “holidays 2013”, but that may very well mean “January”.
However, according to Robert A. Lloyd (GameStop’s chief financial officer), the PS4 will be introduced globally in 2013. In other words, you need not worry in regards to being or not being able to buy the PlayStation 4 by the end of the year, regardless of the region you live in.
Evidently, the information above doesn’t come from Sony and release dates are subject to change, especially considering the fact that the console’s form factor hasn’t been decided yet, but we won’t dismiss these positive bits of information.
Stay tuned for more as we’ll continue to keep an eye on this next-gen gaming rig.
