Even if it doesn’t rock a dual core processor like most of the powerhouse-phones that will be out this year, people seem to really be looking forward for the HTC Thunderbolt release date. Sadly, nothing official yet from HTC or Verizon but a lot of rumors have been lately flowing regarding this phone’s launch date.
If a few days ago we talked about a leaked screenshot of a Best Buy document that was placing the HTC Thunderbolt release date on February 14th now another rumor is making waves, rumor that is placing the phone’s launch date on 24th of February.
Rumor: HTC Thunderbolt Release Date - 24th February ?
This new HTC Thunderbolt release date has been provided by one of Android Guys’s sources and, even though the tipster is deemed reliable, there is no piece of solid evidence to support this claim…so take this with a grain of salt.
This new rumor places the HTC Thunderbolt release date very close to the Motorola Atrix 4G and Motorola Xoom release dates, so it looks like we’ll have a pretty hot “end of February-beginning of March” period.
If you’re wondering what will the HTC Thunderbolt price will be, you should know that, according to a leaked Verizon screen, it will be available for $249 ( probably with a two-year contract ). It’s more than the average price of $200 you’re used to pay for a smartphone, but my opinion is that’s quite a bargain for the first phone from Verizon that offers 4G speeds and simultaneous voice and data.
HTC Thunderbolt is probably one of the most interesting devices displayed on Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, this January. Let’s see now the main HTC Thunderbolt specs as they were presented by the producer:
