The next major event for mobile world enthusiasts will be held in January 2016 in Las Vegas, where many smartphone makers are expected to showcase some of their latest and upcoming products. Among the companies present at CES will be Samsung, which already seems to have started sending out press invites.

Reportedly, the Korean tech giant will hold a press conference at CES on January 5th; between 14:00 and 14:45 hours. This gives Samsung 45 minutes of on-stage time to showcase its products, some of which are likely to be part of the Galaxy lineup.

Will the Samsung Galaxy S7 be unveiled on the 5th of January? Probably not, but you can find more details right after the break.

Samsung CES 2016 Press Conference Confirmed

As some of you might be aware of, so far there has been a handful of rumors hinting at a possible early release for the Samsung Galaxy S7. Certain sources have claimed that the flagship could be unveiled in January and released a month later in February 2016, whereas others are of the opinion that an early release would cannibalize the Note 5 and SGS6 Edge+, thus it probably won’t happen.

Besides, with only a 45-minute time window for the CES 2016 press conference, it’s unlikely for the Galaxy S7 to be unveiled early next month, yet the question of “what can we expect from Samsung on January 5th?” remains.

So what is it that Samsung has reserved for us? Well, we can’t say for sure, and Samsung also seems to be keeping quiet on the matter, but perhaps the Samsung Galaxy A series announced last week could make an appearance at CES, following its mid-December debut in China. The rumored Galaxy A9 is also a good candidate for CES, given that the smartphone went by unmentioned in the aforementioned press release targeting the A3, A5, and A7.

Whatever Samsung has in store for us, we’ll be keeping an eye on the matter and keep you up to speed as soon as we find out more. Stay tuned.
