Samsung Exhibit 2 4G Release Date and Price at T-Mobile (Samsung Galaxy W)

by Alin on October 31, 2011

It’s official folks, the Samsung Exhibit 2 4G (aka Samsung Galaxy W) is coming to T-Mobile. Designed as a mid-range phone with a very affordable price tag, the Exhibit 2 is perfect for users that want to browse funny cat videos and whatnot at 4G speeds and don’t need a powerhouse like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to do that. That doesn’t mean the phone isn’t fast, as it hosts a 1 GHz CPU, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.7-inch display and a 3 MP back camera ( the original Samsung Galaxy W has 5 MP ). Let’s see where and when we can get the Samsung Exhibit 2 4G and more importantly at what price.

T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy W version can be purchased in two ways. You can go for the well known two year voice and data plan and it will set you back $29.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card, or you can stay away from any commitment to Big T and get it for $199.99 via no annual contract. This is a first for T-Mobile, but let’s hope sales go well and we will see more phones available without contract so we don’t have to wait two years for a good deal on the latest smartphones.

The Samsung Exhibit 2 4G is available in Walmart stores from the 27th of October and is expected to launch nationwide in Big T’s stores on November 2. This confirms the leaked T-Mobile roadmap we saw a while ago, so we know what devices to expect from Magenta in the following weeks. I would like to see other phones available without contract and at a reasonable price, so I can upgrade to a premium device at any moment without having to wait for an extension. What do you think of this no contract option ?

Stay tuned and drop us a line with your comments, and if you plan to buy the Samsung Exhibit 2 4G you can visit the T-Mobile website to see when the “Coming Soon” sign will disappear.

Thanks Android Central for letting us know about the Samsung Exhibit 2 4G release date (Samsung Galaxy W).
